Marz Designs

Australian brand Marz Designs was founded by Coco Reynolds, an Industrial Designer who subsequently broadened her skills across a range of design-related fields. In 2010 she established Marz Designs in Sydney, Australia, working in furniture, products, interiors, and mixed materials and in 2019 she moved Marz Designs to the Byron Bay hinterland. Her products reflect her passion for sustainability, working with elemental materials and for marrying craft practice with the industrial process.

Enamoured with the design and architecture movements of the 50s and 60s, Coco focusses her energy on interpreting these works using her own contemporary aesthetic that favours natural materials and a love for simple, yet beautiful silhouettes. Marz Designs also takes inspiration from Greek mythology, and many of their designs are imbued with a sense of grandeur and the classic architectural aesthetic - such as in the column-like elements of the Attalos range or Selene collection with its lunar goddess association.

Many of Marz Designs collections feature timber and ceramic materials which incorporate processes such as slip casting and wood turning to create their unique aesthetic. Using these handmade processes and sustainable materials, Marz Designs products are rich in origin and individual in form.
